About Equality Matters

What is Equality Matters?

EqualityMatters.org is a new media and communications initiative in support of gay equality. Through strategic communications, research, training and media monitoring we strengthen efforts for full LGBT rights and correct anti-gay misinformation. Our goal is to enhance advocacy and activism across all platforms and to leverage our expertise in support of others who are working to make full equality a national imperative.

Website questions

I'm having trouble seeing the video or hearing the audio. What should I do?

You can see our troubleshooting page here. If that doesn't answer your question, please let us know here.

Can I link to your audio and video clips on my website or blog?

We embed our video and audio clips into our item pages to encourage readers to link to our items rather than just our clips. Linking to the items gives readers the full context of the incident in question. Please be sure to link to the full article, not merely the video or audio clip.

Can I excerpt your items on my website or blog?

Equality Matters encourages you to tell your friends, family, and others about the problem of conservative misinformation in the media. If you find content that you wish to share with others, we recommend you link to it or use the "email this page" element found on every page. We discourage copying and pasting sections of our articles because key information may inadvertently be cut, and wholesale copying of articles will still remove important supporting content and related items.

How do I get your newsletter?

Sign up for our newsletters by creating an account.

I registered for an account, but I didn't get the confirmation email. Help!

If you did not receive a confirmation email, be sure to check you spam or bulkmail folder. If you are still having issues, please email us, and we will subscribe you.

Do you accept tips about conservative misinformation in the media? How do I submit one?

Tips are central to Equality Matters' mission. If you've seen conservative misinformation and you want to let us know about it, fill out this form. Please be as specific as possible about what was said, who said it, when it was said, and where (name the show, publication, website, etc.).

Do you have a privacy policy?

Yes, you can read it here.
